In the energy sector we lead the field in business case planning, business conceptualization, strategy, financial and demand modelling, facility design comprising basic engineering through process engineering skills, detailed engineering – comprising architectural, civil, structural, electrical, process, mechanical (PSREG/ FEG), piping, instrumentation and HVAC and project procurement, inspection services, construction supervision, project management and commissioning.

Job Description

The Account Leader - Energy will have a strong background leading diverse, result oriented organization with an emphasis on building excellent stakeholder relationships. The key objective of this role will be to identify opportunities for new work within existing clients or for acquiring a new client – Ensure Customer engagement plans are developed.

You will bring a strong business acumen coupled with industry knowledge and a high level of account management expertise to the role. In addition, the ability to motivate, coach and mentor a diverse organization will ensure success within this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ability to create an opportunity with connected thinking- cross selling abilities.
  • Ensure Customer Relationship management is embedded for maximum value
  • Leading the production of quality proposals and bids - Bid director on proposals, EOIs and Bids
  • Review and understand commercial terms and contract conditions, engaging region/central support as appropriate
  • Steering project on relevant projects
  • Financial performance of all projects within accounts under management.
  • Billing, cash and debt management
  • Provide input to the resource plans for resource augmentation.
  • Ensure successful execution of projects to clients’ satisfaction
  • Generate succession plan and provide development opportunities for future account leads

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in a related technical subject
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum professional experience of about 15+ years part of which should be on managing teams
  • Preferably in consulting engineering companies
  • Design, Project management and Client engagement capability is core to this role
  • Good business acumen and Commercial understanding
  • Business development – Good network of contacts in the industry segment
  • Winning strategy formulation skills
  • Strong communicator – written and spoken- like an advisor
  • Good team player – people management skills
  • Technology savvy
  • Has strong leadership skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong client and stakeholder relationship building skills
