We are seeking a high calibre, chartered civil engineer to help drive the growth of our established team which will and support the delivery of prestigious railway projects across the North West of England including schemes to create the Northern Powerhouse and HS2.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be head and shoulders above peers and able to demonstrate why they are the leader in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development and management of contractor relationships
  • Innovative concept design, expected to include platform construction, AFA access, station buildings and / or transport interchange hubs.
  • Detailed design and Construction sequencing
  • Mentoring, educating and inspiring our high performing graduates
  • Develop links with local universities
  • Appointment as a CRE and CEM
Mentoring others in CRE and / or CEM role

Candidate Specification

The successful candidate will have the following:
  • An MEng degree with a grade of 2:1 or above in civil engineering;
  • Industry leading knowledge of railway station and / or depot design
  • An MEng degree with a grade of 2:1 or above in civil engineering;
  • Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer status
  • A genuine interest in railways, with relevant post-graduate experience;
  • Experience of CRE and CEM roles;
  • The ability to be adaptable and able to work both independently and to lead a team;
  • The ability to confidently build and maintain external and internal relationships;
  • The ability to produce clear and logical written communication, from all levels from feasibility to detailed design;
  • A practical approach to problem solving;
Will be highly motivated to play a full role in driving the business forward.
