Job Description

Mott MacDonald has been appointed by a prestigious client in the Washington D.C. metro area to oversee a significant task order rail, signals and associated maintenance work. As a result of a high-volume of work, we're looking to welcome a project manager - track and structures to our team. The role will be to:
  • Provide project management support to the general superintendent to develop and implement various capital improvement projects, including developing processes to manage the scope, schedule, and budget of the projects.
  • Develop and coordinate the planning and execution of programs.
  • Manage program performance to determine established data quality and reliability.
  • Analyze opportunities to create efficiencies and cost savings through
    work process improvements to improve resource allocation, risk mitigation, and creation of efficiencies between capital and maintenance organizations.
  • Analyze data available to create management reports for effective planning and decision making.

Candidate Specification

Our team of professionals provides cost-effective and innovative engineering solutions for the North American transportation and infrastructure industry with unprecedented success. We’re looking for a project manager to join our team to continue this traction and invite applications from candidates with:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, business management or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years of project or program management experience, including managing multiple projects of $100K or greater contract value.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with rail construction or maintenance is required.
  • The ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, analyze data, coordinate with stakeholders, provide detailed reports, and give presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Good communication skills.
