Job Description

We are hiring a principal project manager to be based in Seattle, WA and their responsibilities will include:

  • ​Leading Mott MacDonald's input in high profile projects
  • Collaborating with the Project, Program and Construction Management practice
  • Undertaking a leadership position, either project manager or resident engineer, on a large transit project
  • Becoming an account leader for significant Mott MacDonald clients
  • Identifying new talent and mentoring existing personnel
  • Being involved in all facets of the consultant life cycle; pursuits, operations, strategic initiatives and program management

Candidate Specification

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in a senior project role on one or more major transportation projects..
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively within a team
  • Ability to manage multiple parties working simultaneously on a single project.
  • Demonstrated ability to write professional / technical / contract letters and reports and communicate effectively to the public.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex teams of design-build project management personnel.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with architectural, engineering, and design-build personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage contract interfaces (civil, systems, third party private and public developers).
  • Working knowledge of systems design, construction, integration, start-up, testing and commissioning requirements
  • 20+ years' experience in a similar position
