Aviation planner
We are looking to hire an entry level Aviation Planner with 1-3 years of experience in airport / transportation infrastructure projects. The position’s primary responsibility will be to support senior planning staff with the development of project specific deliverables covering a diverse range of services involving all components of an airport including landside, terminals, and airside development.
Specific responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:
Research, collect and analyze data on the following:
Existing facilities and /or case studies for lessons learned / best practices.
Emerging trends analysis
Support senior Planning staff on project related tasks as directed, which may include:
Program development including:
Adjacency analysis
Square footage analysis
Alternatives analysis
Facility Requirements
Capacity/demand assessments
Plan development including 2D graphical support.
Massing model development including 3D visualization.
Preparation of reports and presentations Attends client meetings and documents meeting notes as requested.
Other duties as requested by the Planning team and /or Project Manager
Candidate Experience Requirements:
Master's degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, Planning, Urban Design, or related field (is preferred).
Minimum 1-3 years of aviation centric planning experience
Knowledge of the aviation industry
Good written and verbal communication skills
Extensive AutoCAD experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced MS Excel user
Knowledge of CAST modeling
Strong graphics and data visualization skills
Attention to detail.
This position requires the candidate to be flexible, passionate about doing good work and having a sense of humor.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
