Flue gas desulphurisation (FGD)
Post-combustion FGD technologies produce cleaner flue gas with reduced emissions having converted sulphur oxides (SOx) back to elemental sulphur. Our expertise in this area covers wet FGD, seawater FGD, semi-dry FGD, dry FGD and in-furnace injection.
Nitrogen oxides (NOx) emission reduction
Our capability in NOx emission reduction technologies covers both primary methods – those related to the combustion process designed to reduce the production of NOx – and secondary methods – post-combustion processes that convert NOx back to elemental Nitrogen – resulting in cleaner flue gas with lower emissions.
Our expertise in the primary methods covers low NOx burners, gas reburn, over fire air (OFA) and flue gas re-circulation (FGR), whilst our expertise in secondary methods includes selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR).
Fuel combustion results in the formation of particulate matter, which, because of its size, can be carried with the flue gas stream into our atmosphere.
