Over the coming months we will be regularly sharing new visions and describing the steps we see as being necessary to realise them. By doing so, we aim to inspire imagination, start discussion and foster ambition. We hope to form alliances to explore and solve problems, share best practices, innovate, and above all, take practical action.
Our purpose
What is it that makes you excited to get up in the morning? Many of our colleagues joined Mott MacDonald because they wanted to make a positive difference. As an organisation, we do too – we want to contribute to society, to make the communities in which we live and work better and address the world’s big issues.
That is why we restated our purpose:
'To improve society by considering social outcomes in everything we do, relentlessly focusing on excellence and digital innovation, transforming our clients’ businesses, our communities and employee opportunities.'
Why we're here
COVID-19 has amplified societal challenges: it has impacted progress in many key areas, such as health and wellbeing, education, water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, industry and infrastructure, cities and communities and climate change. But it is also motivating everyone to look at things differently.
For us all, the challenge is how to bring the widest possible benefit – from the projects we work on, the relationships we build and the way we invest. That is why we’re calling on everyone’s skills, ingenuity and knowledge to help society, government, clients and stakeholders to set near-term goals and map the pathways for achieving them.
