The services we provide cover all crucial aspects of development – from sustainability master planning through to implementation, including urban design, landscape design, risk assessment, project management, energy saving and procurement.
We have a proven track record in designing exemplary low impact urban development projects, and specialise in bringing together holistic thinking to achieve optimised engineering strategies at a master planning scale. Our in-depth understanding of buildings and infrastructure delivery enables us to guide appropriate decision making at all stages. We show our clients where the solutions lie, facilitating collaboration, partnering and stakeholder engagement.
Our project portfolio features eco-cities and inner-city regeneration schemes, mixed-use developments and multimodel transport interchanges with associated community, heritage or tourism facilities. In addition, our sustainability specialists are acting as energy and sustainability master planners for new communities.
How we add value is demonstrated on these projects:
Tianjin Eco-city – our 10 year role on the £10 billion flagship eco-city for 350,000 people has involved developing a sustainability strategy and guiding its implementation, producing guidelines for green buildings and transportation and leading design of two demonstration projects. One of the project’s primary factors involves introducing leading-edge sustainable solutions that address the many challenges of high density urban living.
Spinnaker Tower – Portsmouth City Council appointed us to project manage the construction and transition into operation of the technically challenging tower. We undertook control and helped deliver the project as soon as was practical, to the lowest possible cost. Through close collaboration and effective communication, our team helped save £2 million and six months off the predicted programme and secure funding.
Cromer Seafront Enhancement – the focus of a £6.1 million programme involved refurbishing Cromer Pier and Pier Pavilion Theatre, regenerating the promenade and creating a new museum celebrating the 200-year history of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. We were involved in all three projects and acted as the lead landscape architect for the promenade scheme.
