As an employee owned firm, our owners are also custodians of the company for the future, so we value the sustainability of our company and our work. We have a large network that provides support and leadership for embracing sustainability in everything we do.
Our sustainability networks are led by the board and senior management, which provides the gravitas needed to assure that sustainability is treated as an integral part of our business. It is no one-way street however, we seek and encourage dialogue, openness and integrity. Active communication across the group allows for increased collaboration between colleagues. This stimulates global peer-to-peer engagement, including both bottom-up and top-down influence.
Our networks include:
- Group sustainability steering committee – answerable to the board and responsible for the formulation and implementation of our strategy, the committee reflects the diverse, global structure here at Mott MacDonald with representatives from all operational regions, as well as human resources, professional management, communication and our early career professionals’ network.
- Corporate structure – managers across the business have defined responsibilities to ensure sustainability is addressed in business plans and day-to-day activities.
- Sustainability champions – promote our strategy across geographical regions and technical disciplines
- Sustainability community – our communication software allows us to connect colleagues with common interests worldwide, enabling ideas and knowledge to be shared, and giving individuals the opportunity to shape the debate and constructively challenge the company’s aspirations, plans and results.
