The review involved preparing new surveys to collect current data that would be more relevant to the airport. This task was split between Mott MacDonald and our client, Glasgow Airport Limited, with our team undertaking much of the preparation while the client carried our survey work to reduce costs.
We created new forms to capture relevant data and gave advice on where best to focus a tight budget to achieve maximum effect. We also gave the client advice regarding survey techniques, methodology and timings.
The data used was used to access facility requirements over the 30-year period. This was achieved by using an in-house tool and passenger forecasts provided by the airport. The end result was used to underpin the terminal development plan for the airport to ensure it met anticipated demand requirement.
