We believe clients need a trusted team of land advisors with a focus on providing integrated land solutions. We support clients in gaining access to or purchasing the appropriate land at the appropriate time and cost.
Beyond our expertise is our commitment to those affected by land developments. At Mott MacDonald, we care about the communities we work in and make it a priority to engage, building relationships between people and land.
Who we are and what we do
Our land advisory experts identify stakeholders, communities and organisations and their legal interest and rights over land which is due to be developed. We ensure their rights are heard and respected.
Acting as a consistent point of contact, we bridge the gap of communication between those affected and the broader project delivery disciplines.

Integrated and innovative solutions
The integrated and innovative solutions we deliver make us more than just land referencing experts, we offer solutions for all land-related needs. The approach we undertake integrates land solutions to overcome land and property challenges our clients face.
We draw on our multidisciplinary expertise within the Mott MacDonald to deliver land and property solutions that support the whole lifecycle of the project, rather than just the land needs of the scheme. While we use our past work and broad network of experience to deliver world-class solutions, every element of our work is tailored to the individual needs of each client and the communities that they are working within.
Interested party engagement
At Mott MacDonald, we are the leaders in engaging with interested parties. Our efforts aren't just about acquiring land and collaborating with the client, they are also about understanding and positively engaging with the communities involved, guiding them through scheme optioneering and consents. We ensure we form close relationships with affected parties to help deliver better outcomes for them.
Land management
Delays in infrastructure projects often stem from insufficient information availability at the early stages of a scheme. Our own Moata Land Management digital solution provides a single source for land-based data, storing all land ownership, access, survey management, communications and stakeholder management information, ensuring project success through better decision making.
Our team
Our land advisory solutions team comprises chartered geographers and industry-leading specialists dedicated to providing tailored, high-quality advice. Our expertise and commitment ensure the success of every project we undertake.
With a nationwide team possessing local knowledge, we're best equipped to handle a diverse range of projects, from small to large, across all sectors.
We collaborate with the Society of Land Referencers (SoLR), Royal Geographical Society, colleges and universities to enhance professional development, community growth and support the career development of our industry and team.
