Puma Energy tanker berth, Dubai

GRC constructed and commissioned a new tanker berth at Jebel Ali Free Zone for loading and unloading product carriers. Sizes range from 10,000 to 85,000 DWT tankers ‘at all states of the tide’.

Mott MacDonald’s role included the preparation of concept, basic and detailed engineering designs and drawings for approval from DP World and Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA). We also produced the specifications for site investigation and construction works, preparation of a cost estimate, tender documents as well as supervision of the construction works.

All topsides and piping between the berth and GRC’s onshore terminal were also provided.

Client: Gulf Refining Cmpany (GRC)/Puma Energy
