Franklin + Andrews has been appointed as cost consultants on
SnOasis, a unique winter sports leisure resort which will be
situated on the site of a disused quarry in Great Blakenham,
Suffolk.
The centrepiece of this resort is a ski slope measuring 100 metres high, 80 metres wide and half a kilometre long. The £350 million development includes:

Godfrey Spanner, MD of developer, Onslow Suffolk said “SnOasis will be one of the most exciting developments in the world and will provide people with a truly unique winter sports experience and with its centre of excellence will help develop future winter Olympic champions. As importantly, it will provide huge regeneration and tourism benefits for the local area, providing up to 1500 new jobs.
Planning approval for SnOasis is expected to be confirmed by Autumn 2005 and, subject to approval, construction is expected to take 2½ years, opening 2008.
