Mott MacDonald appointed to Partnerships for Schools framework

Mott MacDonald has been confirmed as one of the eighteen consultants appointed to the Partnership for Schools (PfS) Technical Advisory Framework.

The framework exists to provide technical advice and project management services to local authorities who have entered the government’s Building Schools for the Future (BSF) scheme.

Ashley Taylor, Mott MacDonald’s project director commented, “As one of the original consultants appointed on the Technical Advisor and Project Management Framework for BSF in 2004, we’re delighted with our re-appointment to the scheme, which is so important for the future of education in the UK. Mott MacDonald’s role will involve advising clients on the technical aspects of their projects, including design and facilities management.”

She added, “Mott MacDonald’s technical and project management teams are in a unique position as they actively work alongside Cambridge Education, an established name in the learning sector and part of the Mott MacDonald Group. Between us we have worked with the DCSF* and local authorities on over thirty BSF, Academies and One School Pathfinder projects. We look forward to providing our wide-range of skills and experience to the local authorities who are modernising their school estates.”

The BSF programme has been set up to transform education in England through the rebuilding and remodelling of state secondary schools and investment in information and communication technology (ICT).

Mott MacDonald and Cambridge Education are jointly exhibiting at BSEC '09, the Building Schools Exhibition and Conference, which is taking place on 11 – 12 February 2009 in Manchester. Our technical experts will be on hand at the event to share their skills and experience of working on the BSF programme as well as our other education projects around the UK.
