Mott MacDonald, the diverse global management, engineering and development consultancy, has officially opened a new office in Washington, DC, USA. The move will enable the company to support international development aid agencies and organisations with innovative, added value solutions in areas ranging from health, education, power and energy to water and sanitation, transportation and the environment.
Mott MacDonald has been engaged in international development projects for more than 50 years. The consultancy’s technical expertise covers everything from increasing access to safe drinking water and reliable power to sewerage systems, climate change adaptation, transportation infrastructure, education and health. Our involvement in international development projects promotes economic growth, making a major contribution towards achieving real results in raising living standards for the world’s poorest communities and helping stabilise fragile societies for the benefit of the whole world.
To mark the opening of the Washington office, Mott MacDonald organised a technical forum focused on improving access to reliable energy sources in sub-Saharan Africa. The event was held in partnership with AECOM and PwC, and was attended by over 50 guests from government and donor agencies, financial and academic institutions and specialists across a range of disciplines. A reception followed with over 100 guests celebrating the opening of the new office.
