Our goal is to rapidly mobilise the UK infrastructure sector to meet the net-zero challenge by 2050 or earlier and support the UK in becoming an international leader in net-zero across the global infrastructure industry.
The Net-Zero Infrastructure Industry Coalition demonstrates clear leadership, innovative thinking, and collective expertise, supporting our goal of a good net-zero; one that enables economic prosperity and a just transition.
Objectives
- Support governments in providing and demonstrating leadership from across the infrastructure industry and inspire others to impartially help shape policy and guide its practical implementation.
- Use our considerable resources to convene stakeholder groups and advise governments on the delivery of infrastructure to achieve net-zero by 2050 or earlier.
- Support the development and implementation of regulation and standards by working closely with policy and standards setting organisations.
- Become a globally recognised centre of innovation and expertise in achieving a good net-zero with a focus on economic prosperity, realising co-benefits for society and a just transition. Our learning can enable the UK to be an international leader in net-zero for infrastructure.
- Provide regular communication and high-quality practical guidance on key aspects of achieving net-zero in the infrastructure industry.
- Managing Working Groups to develop guidance and organise impactful events and meetings to disseminate knowledge.
Coalition membership
The Coalition is a collaboration of numerous organisations across the supply chain and infrastructure sector. Members have access to the Coalition's network of subject matter experts, leaders and academic partners, they are provided with the opportunity to influence project concepts in areas that are specific to their needs and make a significant impact on the UK's journey to net-zero. In turn, the Coalition ask that members provide feedback on developments in the sector, attend and contribute to select meetings, support projects and key areas of focus when practicable and enable the Coalition's convening objective by facilitating relationships.
