Our specialist team in Paris has been providing all due diligence services. Our scope of work includes a review of project participants, contracts, design, energy yield, construction and operation arrangements, environmental and social matters, and the inputs to the financial model.
Located in a relatively complex terrain, the onshore wind project is to be built in two phases. Mott MacDonald became involved at an early stage of the project’s conception – prior to the lenders’ appointment while major contracts were under negotiations.
By adopting a two-stage approach, including the production of a fatal flaw report ahead of the lenders being mandated and then the production of a due diligence report, we've been able to clear major issues fast. Our method has provided the opportunity to address potential shortfalls in the bankability of the project ahead of lenders being assigned. It has also allowed greater emphasis to be paid to the said lenders’ specific areas of concern.
