The project comprises these facilities on a single campus:
- 45,000 capacity stadium with 13,000 seats and entertainment arena
- Modern swimming complex
- Athletics track and training centre
- Retail mall and hotel
Mott MacDonald has been defining the design strategy for all mechanical, electrical and public health services for the campus infrastructure and buildings. Our team has also been advising on energy saving and sustainable design aspects and provided analysis using building simulation techniques to support design ideas. We're also the accredited consultant to support SIPSID and the design team to achieve LEED certification.
Suzhou Industrial Park has been developed over the past 20 years as a joint project between the Chinese and Singaporean governments and now hosts international high technology companies and automotive manufacturers. We've project managed various industrial projects in Suzhou over the years.
With an global portfolio of world-class stadia projects – examples include Roughriders Stadium in Canada, Mbombela Stadium in South Africa and Adelaide Oval in Australia – we've been bringing our vast expertise to add value to this development. Construction of the Suzhou Sports Park is expected to be completed by early 2017.
