Why did you decide to join Mott MacDonald?
Firstly I had excellent references of the company. On the other hand I wanted to join a multicultural company involved in different sectors that means an open spectrum of possibilities and challenges.
What is the best thing about your role?
For a geotechnical engineer, to be involved in consultancy of megaprojects such as tunnelling and underground stations is the best thing. The process of discussing, evaluating and deciding an idea is always challenging. Finally the most important thing is being a protagonist in the transition process of having a problem, discuss it, then having a solution and finally see it reflected in a drawing.
How would you describe the culture of Mott MacDonald?
I think that Mott MacDonald is a company based on respect and organisation.
What is the best thing about the country you are from?
I’m from Argentina. Other than nature and food, I realise that the best thing about my country is the human relationships. I think that in order to understand and appreciate that, it is important to live abroad and immerse yourself with different cultures.
How would you describe your role and responsibilities to friends or family?
I work in the geotechnical team, so we face problems with the interaction of the underground space (soil) and human construction (tunnels and stations). I have a role where the input is a project, and the output is the most efficient way to do it.
When you’re not in the office where can you be found?
Playing football, travelling, spending time with friends.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by my own confidence and security in that knowing that all I have done has been my own decision. This can be applied to all both the personal and professional aspects of my life.
