Why did you decide to join Mott MacDonald?
Mott MacDonald is a big name in the engineering sector and I was fortunate to do my internship here. As it was my first stint in the corporate world, I felt choosing a 100-year-old institution over others was the right decision. I learned a lot during my internship; I refined my technical skills and learned how to apply them in real world scenarios. Getting used to a disciplined lifestyle took some time but working with enthusiastic and methodical people motivated me. What I especially liked about Mott MacDonald was the sense of camaraderie and co-operation among employees which is unlike anywhere else. So, after my graduation, when the opportunity to work with Mott MacDonald presented itself, I didn't let it slip.
How would you describe the culture of Mott MacDonald?
Communication is very important at Mott MacDonald. Everybody, from senior management to graduates and apprentices, are approachable and willing to help in any way they can. All staff are encouraged to show initiative and take responsibility for their own growth and development, which helps build strong foundations for the future.
How many years have you worked for Mott MacDonald, and what has been your proudest achievement to date?
I have completed two years in the organisation and being a part of such an esteemed institution is in itself a matter of pride for me.
How have you been supported during your career development?
Senior members of my team have been very supportive. They’ve guided me through any challenging situations I have faced and supported me as I’ve grown as an individual.
What is your best experience at Mott MacDonald to date?
There are many memorable experiences, in fact I look forward to every day at work as I get to learn something daily. Apart from that, being a part of the football team and representing the company for inter-company tournaments is something I look forward to.
