Why did you decide to join Mott MacDonald?
I’d worked for another consultancy for nearly 20 years and wanted to try my hand at something different, but the same! Mott MacDonald provided just that, with great opportunities to grow and develop my career over the next 20 years.
What is the best thing about your role?
Learning something new about what the water and environment team does EVERY day. What Mott MacDonald achieves for its clients blows my mind and I love the opportunity to spread the word.
How would you describe the culture of Mott MacDonald?
It’s truly collaborative, everyone’s opinion is valued and we all have the chance to contribute.
How would you describe your role and responsibilities to friends or family?
I work with the technical teams to create winning bids for water and environment projects across the world. Our assignments cover every aspect of water and environment management, from source to sea. I use my expertise to communicate the breadth of our skills to potential clients and then tell other people about the good work that we are doing and the landmark projects we’re involved with.
When you’re not in the office where can you be found?
At home with my family or walking my dog. I have a crazy lurcher who loves being outside - except when it’s raining.
If you were to live anywhere, where would it be?
Anywhere near a deserted beach, it’s the best place to walk a dog and I currently live about as far away from the sea as it’s possible to get in the UK.
