UK and Ireland placements

At Mott MacDonald we offer summer and year in industry placements for students currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree or are about to begin one. Working on projects alongside graduates and experienced professionals you will focus on one of our many sectors and gain valuable experience on community-enhancing projects, learning about our industry and our company. This is the perfect springboard onto one of our award-winning graduate career paths, as many of our placement students return after graduating.
Summer placements
Between June and September, our summer placements last eight to twelve weeks. We have over 30 offices in the UK and Ireland where you can apply for a placement, and we encourage you to apply to location where you can arrange suitable accommodation for the duration of the placement.
Year-in-Industry placements
Most of our year-in-industry placements being in September, and last six to 12 months. Many students choose to relocate for the duration of the placement, and we can help you find suitable accommodation in the area.
