Our digital team supports Connect Plus Services in delivering their vision for digital transformation and future-proofing their organisation.
The vision strives for better information and integration to enable smarter delivery of more intelligent assets to achieve better outcomes and collaboration, connecting people, connecting data, and connecting thinking across the organisation.
Connect Plus Services see digital transformation as a key enabler of better performance. Investing where it matters is critical to ensure the right products, people and processes are available to meet the needs of the road users. Connect Plus Services used the Smart Infrastructure Index to engage 240 staff members from apprentices to the CEO. This improved the understanding of how “digital” ways of working and the use of technology is impacting staff and highlighted where investment should be focused to improve productivity.
Each person completing the Index provided their perspective on areas such as asset performance, innovation, and how they serve and support their customers. This valuable information brought Connect Plus Services closer to their staff than ever before. Using powerful dashboards, the Smart Infrastructure Index analyses this information to understand where the hot spots of best practice are, and where staff require more support to leverage the benefits of digital technology. Through a series of workshops the data collected was interrogated by senior stakeholders and subject matter experts, creating holistic 360o appraisal of the organisation’s digital maturity.
Connect Plus Services and our digital team are using the results of the survey to inform the development of high impact interventions as part of the wider Connect Plus Services Digital Transformation. The results have helped prioritise training needs and provided a unique insight into the experiences of staff at all levels of the organisation.
“The Mott MacDonald Smart Infrastructure Index has enabled us to baseline our digital maturity before we undertake a portfolio of digital improvements to Connect Plus and Connect Plus Services. While some of the questions are challenging, and proved difficult for some, this also gave us an insight into the understanding of how we manage our assets, the strategic direction and how we are placed to implement, and sustain, digital improvements we make.” Source: Adam Talbot, Digital Transformation Lead Connect Plus Services
