Mott MacDonald is one of the first consultancies to secure BSI Kitemark for Innovation Management
Mott MacDonald has become one of the first consultancies to be awarded the new kitemark for Innovation Management by the British Standards Institute (BSI). The kitemark is based on the international standard for innovation management, ISO 56002:2019, and demonstrates Mott MacDonald’s commitment to innovation throughout its business and validates the support and process it has in place to achieve real outcomes from its innovation initiatives.
Mott MacDonald completed a two-stage audit with the BSI team reviewing process, systems, people and projects relating to innovation. This included interviews with leaders, and an audit of infrastructure and water projects against Mott MacDonald's innovation process.

Recent events including COP-26 have made clear the urgent need for innovation delivery. Mott MacDonald was an industry partner of the Sustainable Innovation Forum (SIF) 2021 in Glasgow, a collaborative platform for uniting heads of state and multilaterals, environment ministers, business leaders, investors and non-governmental organisations enabling climate action at COP26.
Mott MacDonald has been an active investor member of Infrastructure Industry Innovation Partnership (i3P) since its establishment in 2016. It is supporting and delivering collaborative innovation through i3P projects with client and supply chain organisations across the infrastructure and construction industry.
