On June 13, Mott MacDonald received two Local Outstanding Civil Engineering Awards from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Our Puget Sound Atlantic Salmon Net Pen Engineering Assessment won an award for Structural Condition Assessment, and our Southworth Ferry Terminal Trestle Replacement Project: Tsunami Design Forces won an award for Seismic Design Forces.
For the structural assessment of salmon net pens, our project team worked across the company and with outside organizations to successfully deliver this project on a very demanding schedule. The ferry terminal project required analysis of tsunami forces in a non-standard application, considering interpretation of the most recent loading guidance.
