Mott MacDonald has been chosen for the fourth year in a row as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for Young People. This national award from Mediacorp’s Canada’s Top 100 Employers recognizes industry-leading employers who offer the best workplaces and programs for their younger employees.
“Our younger staff members are the future of our company,” said Mike Isola, President and CEO of Mott MacDonald in North America. “I’m delighted to be honored for all the work we are doing to support our staff at the early stages of their career, not only in Canada but across North America and around the world.”
Mott MacDonald was recognized for its career-building and management programs, along with mentorship and networking opportunities across its regional and global offices. The company’s offices in Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary were examined under the following categories: student opportunities, in-house training programs, tuition subsidies, unique training and development opportunities, dedicated employee resource groups, vacation allowance, and average age of employees.
Judges for the award highlighted Mott MacDonald’s career growth programs and resources, including the 18-month Horizons program aimed at guiding young professionals towards long-term career management. They noted the “Teachable Moments” lunch-and-learn sessions hosted by the company’s Early Career Professionals committee, and its Early Career Professionals Week, offering younger employees an opportunity to make connections with clients and seasoned staff members.
Chiara Cilia, a member of the Early Career Professionals Steering Committee for North America, said, “This recognition is validation that our programs create a welcoming and supportive workplace. I feel grateful to be part of an organization that is a leader in supporting career growth. It has made a positive mark on the early years of my professional career!”
