We support our clients in assessing impact, return on investment, and patient experience through our design and delivery of comprehensive evaluations, impact assessments, and mixed method research projects.
We can work with you from the early stages of your project to develop logframes to identify the purpose and agree upon goal-planned outcomes and the expected impact of your program. We continue to work together to measure progress against agreed-upon outcomes.
Impact assessments are a key component of policy and act to guide policy makers in considering the consequences of proposals. While each assessment is tailored, our typical approach is to undertake an integrated assessment that combines a health, an equality, a travel and access, and a carbon impact assessment.
Our key areas of focus
Programmatic evaluation
Programmatic evaluations monitor outputs and outcomes and identify potential or real issues with progress so we can help those involved in the delivery to get back on track.
Quantitative and qualitative evaluation
Healthcare service investment requires robust and proportional evaluation. We adopt a tailored, mixed-methods approach combining quantitative metrics with qualitative insights gathered from stakeholder engagement. Our experience includes programs in various countries as well as customized evaluations for smaller developments or clinical areas.
We support the planning, implementation, and progress of health or service improvement programs through formative evaluation or qualitative and quantitative research to build the evidence base of “what works well." This evidence can provide a learning platform to help other organizations or countries replicate good practice, and consider how healthcare can be commissioned and delivered differently.
Impact assessments
Although our assessments are tailored, our typical approach is to undertake an integrated assessment that combines the following:
- A health impact assessment measuring potential effects on health outcomes and identifying health inequalities to be redressed prior to implementation.
- An equality impact assessment to understand the impacts on protected characteristics.
- A travel and access impact assessment that assesses the impacts on travel and accessibility.
- A carbon impact assessment that seeks to understand the change in carbon emissions related to new buildings or refurbishments and travel and transport, as compared to the baseline situation.
Asset evaluation
We undertake audits and provide facilities management or operational advice to help you maximize the value of your investments. We provide asset evaluations, comparing outcomes to the expectations of business cases and validating the achievement of objectives, such as the development of monitoring frameworks and benefits realization plans.
