Our Malaysia office has a strong track record of supporting many infrastructure and energy projects across ASEAN and East Asia. As a result of robust growth, we have an opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Senior Geotechnical Engineer to be a part of our transport team in our Kuala Lumpur office.

This role will see you:
- Be involved in the delivery of a wide range of engineering projects including deep excavations, MRT and other projects.
- Produce documentation, including reports, engineering sketches, engineering calculations, technical specifications, and tender documentation
- Provide support to writing project proposals and business development
- Having an appreciation of the roles of fellow professionals on multidisciplinary projects and interfacing and coordinating with them appropriately
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge and appreciation of current technical standards and practices and taking a ‘hands on’ role in technical matters
- A role in driving to digital strategy within civil engineering
Candidate Specification
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university accredited by the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
- 6+ years of experience from an engineering consultancy/engineering design background.
- Strong written and oral communication ability.
- Experience in cut-and-cover structure design, projects geo lead and underground structures for transportation
- Familiar with latest design software packages (Plaxis and others), familiar with codes and standards from Singapore, Malaysia, and preferably also other countries.
- Willingness to commit to ongoing development of professional skill
- Enthusiastic and willing to work in a team environment
- Aspiring to professional qualifications such as Professional Engineer and/or Chartership.
- An understanding of commercial and engineering risk.
- Self-motivated with good organizational capability
- Competent with Plaxis software and experience with open cut excavations, shallow foundations and tunnel design is advantageous.
