Project manager - civil/site

Job Description

Mott MacDonald seeking a transportation or municipal project manager to support a variety of projects in the Panhandle and preferably based in the Pensacola, FL area. This person will lead project teams, interface with clients and stakeholders, and be responsible for managing project deliverables, reviews, and budgets.

We’re known for delivering projects in the areas of water, energy, transport, built environment, and advisory. Our South-Central team supports some of the most ambitious transportation, water, and infrastructure projects in North America, including:

Emergency design services related to infrastructure repairs related to almost every major storm event in the panhandle since the 90s.
Construction oversight of the new Pensacola Bay Bridge, FL.
Providing program management services for the design and construction of the Airbus Final Assembly Line.
Managing the City of Pensacola’s stormwater master plan

Responsibilities of this position may include:

Managing infrastructure and civil engineering or construction projects and tasks, directing assignments to project team members.
Listening to client needs and developing appropriate scope and fee proposals
Reporting – financial, project, and construction status
Coordinating multidisciplinary teams, both within Mott MacDonald and external sub-consultants
Providing technical / engineering support to projects as Engineer of Record
Participating in interviews and presentations for prospective projects
Other responsibilities as necessary

Candidate Specification

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:

B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
Professional Engineering license, or the ability to obtain one in Florida
At least 5 years of experience in project management of transportation or municipal projects
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software is a must
Microstation ORD knowledge is also a plus
Strong project management, leadership, and people management skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience with contract and subcontract management
Eager and flexible to undertake a variety of tasks associated with the management of large projects
