In recent days we have seen many people across the world come together to show their support against racism and inequality. Mott MacDonald fully supports this opportunity to unite to tackle all systemic forms of injustice.
We take the values with which we live, work and operate very seriously. We value all peoples and cultures equally, and promote equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI). I take great pride in the work Mott MacDonald is doing to drive EDI both in our company and the broader industry.
Our African American, Black and Asian colleagues are valued and important to our business. We need to do more, and I am working with our EDI team and Advancing Race and Culture networks to engage Black, Asian and ethnic minority colleagues and we are mapping out specific improvement actions going forward.
Our values guide the way in which we develop, design and deliver projects around the world. To do this, we understand the importance of starting all of our projects with the ambition of making positive and transformational change. This is the most significant way that we can contribute towards creating better social outcomes for the communities in which we work and live and, through this, improve equality for people of all socio-demographic backgrounds.
We are committed to equality for our staff and to making a difference in our communities, you can read more in our position paper on social outcomes.
