Services we provide

Innovative transport solutions for a connected world

We have a multidisciplinary skill set and work across the entire lifecycle of transport infrastructure projects.

Our experience

We have a long heritage in transportation, with over a century of experience working on rail, road, airport, and port projects across the globe. Some of our recent projects have included:

  • Elizabeth Line, London, UK
We worked on this major new railway, which crosses London from west to east — from its early stages in various roles, advising on the route and its structures, producing solutions for its trains, and developing the rail systems that convert tunnels and stations into a functioning railway.
  • John F Kennedy Airport, New York, USA
We developed a masterplan for New York’s international gateway airport which would enable it to handle 100M passengers a year by 2050. Our ongoing role incorporates programme planning for short term developments and measures to radically improve service quality. Our work contributed to the announcement of a US$13bn redevelopment that includes two new terminal complexes.
  • Lower Thames Crossing, UK
We’re part of a joint venture working for National Highways to delivering this new tunnel linking Essex and Kent which is planned to relieve pressure on the M25 and Dartford Crossing.
  • North-South Corridor, Singapore
We’re providing detailed design services, including 3D digital modeling, to the consortium of contractors delivering this major road tunnel connecting Singapore’s northern region with the city center.
  • Ontario Line, Toronto, Canada
At 15.6km long and with 15 stations, the line is the biggest of four current subway expansion projects for Toronto. We have helped prepare the way for its construction by defining and de-risking the works, as well as setting out stretching requirements for sustainability, quality and value for money.
  • Port Talbot masterplan, UK
We were appointed by Associated British Ports to develop a masterplan showing how Port Talbot could be transformed to enable it to serve as a prime hub for the floating offshore wind industry, contributing to the decarbonization of industry in South Wales and playing a major role in the socioeconomic regeneration of the area.
  • Puerto Caucedo, Dominican Republic
We conducted a feasibility study, master planning and detailed design showing how to increase capacity at this port in the Caribbean.
  • Quito Airport, Ecuador
We provided a comprehensive range of technical, commercial and critical risk management services for this technically challenging project to design a new international airport for Quito. We also monitored, assured, and program managed delivery of the airport, which is injecting over US$200M annually into the Greater Quito economy, providing direct connectivity to Quito’s major export and tourism markets.
  • Regional Connector, Los Angeles, USA
As detailed designer, we successfully navigated the challenges of earthquake risk and tangles of existing utilities to transform journeys for LA Metro passengers.
  • Rome-Cartersville development corridor, USA
We’re acting as design consultant to the Georgia Department of Transportation in developing the plans for this four-lane, 9km road linking the US411 and I-75 highways, with construction due to begin in 2026.
  • Sydney Metro, Australia
We’re a trusted delivery partner in Australia’s biggest public transport project, which will expand Sydney’s rail network to 46 stations and 113km of track by 2030, and have been collaborating with the client in an integrated engineering and design solutions team.

Geospatial

Receive insights in real time from onsite sensors using web-based GIS mapping software. Geospatial is a mapping and analysis solution that enables diverse project teams to view project data and collaborate. Its functions range from geospatial planning and route alignment for linear infrastructure such as roads, railways, power lines and pipelines, to the management of stakeholder relationships.

Safe by Design

Safe by Design visualizes a project in 3D. Hazards can be geolocated, categorized, scored, and filtered. Risks are represented geospatially by hazard warning triangles. It provides a single source of information, enabling focused conversations with stakeholders. Dashboard visualization makes it easy to set and track key performance indicators and to benchmark performance against similar projects.

People and Planet

People and Planet demonstrates and quantifies social and environmental outcomes. It combines publicly available data with project data to assess social and environmental factors alongside project priorities. Risks and opportunities are displayed on maps and dashboards, empowering decisions that create long-term benefits for people and the planet.
