Describe what the Mott Mac Life means to you in three words

Connected, collaborative, opportunity.

What do you enjoy about working here?

After joining Mott MacDonald it didn’t take long before I felt part of the family. The combination of global thinking and local care is what I enjoy most. One moment you’re solving challenges unique to New Zealand, and the next you’re collaborating with colleagues across the UK, Singapore, or Australia.

Tell us about your specialism and why you chose it

My specialism is transport leadership, strategic client engagement, people management and building high performing teams. In general, I enjoy bringing people together to make complicated projects work.

Why did you choose to join Mott MacDonald?

I joined because I wanted to be part of a company that truly leverages its global network. For me, the ability to tap into international expertise while delivering locally is a huge advantage for our clients in New Zealand. The opportunity to shape our relationship with transport clients felt like the right challenge at the right time.

How has your career progressed since joining?

I settled in quickly thanks to a welcoming, collaborative team that trusted me from day one. Taking on the client director role and working across the wider transport sector, gives me the opportunity to think strategically about markets, teams and organisational direction. What makes this even more impactful is the ability to draw on Mott MacDonald’s global expertise, giving our clients in New Zealand access to world-class capability whenever they need it.

How do you demonstrate Technical Excellence in your work?

Technical excellence means setting a clear direction, aligning expectations, and building teams that thrive. I achieve this by asking the right questions early, simplifying complexity into practical plans, and creating environments where people can play to their strengths. I’m excited to help elevate our New Zealand team and shape our path in a rapidly changing market.

How do you contribute to Mott MacDonald making a difference to people and the planet?

I make a difference through people leadership—building trust, creating a strong team culture and helping people perform at their best. When teams are well-led, everyone wins: clients, communities and the business.

What are your career highlights and achievements?

The most recent ones are probably achieving a Graduate Certificate in Design Management (with Distinction) from the RMIT Melbourne as part of the Aurecon Design Academy and receiving the ACE Presidents Award in 2021.
