Lakshmi leads on advocacy, partnerships and corporate social responsibility for Mott MacDonald’s South Asia business. She also leads employee engagement across India. Lakshmi also has experience as a talent director, overseeing talent attraction, recruitment and employee retention for Mott MacDonald in South Asia.
Previously, Lakshmi was the head representative for the UK and Ireland at the Confederation of Indian Industry based out of London. She has represented Indian industry on the Executive Board of Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) and was the founding board member of Manchester India Partnership and West Midlands India Partnership. She was also instrumental in setting up the Indian National Students’ Association in the UK.
Lakshmi has more than two decades of experience in public policy, business development, market facilitation, trade, and change making, political campaigns, education, microfinance and community building. She has also formerly worked as a political aide to a UK Member of Parliament and supported the functioning and setting up of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on India-UK trade and the APPGs on Nepal, Bangladesh and Indian Traditional Sciences. Lakshmi has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in Human Rights.
