Biography

Virginie leads climate advisory in international development. Her role involves strategic leadership, business development, team management and project oversight.

Virginie is an economist by background. She has over 15 years of experience across policy, business, consultancy and intergovernmental organisations on climate change. She specialises in climate adaptation policy, risk management and finance. She has led or contributed to over 50 complex and multi-stakeholder projects in more than 20 countries. At the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Virginie led the growth of its Green Climate Fund (GSF) portfolio – GCF is the world’s largest multilateral climate fund. As the author of over 20 publications, she has demonstrated expertise in institutional strengthening and access to climate finance.

Virginie has dedicated her career to shifting investments into adaptation and resilience. Creating social impact is fundamental to Virginie’s purpose and has been central to her career in international development. 

Virginie's work is driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those most affected by climate change.
