About the role
The BIM Coordinator / Technician will support the project delivery team for Transport and Built Environment portfolios including infrastructure and land development projects.
Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:
Develop and assist project teams in CDE and project set up for a BIM environment.
Develop and deliver, in conjunction with the client’s requirements BIM Execution Plans
Drive/Participate in the process of developing BIM standards for projects
Ensure that the design standards align with the client’s CAD/BIM strategy and link appropriately with the wider business
Assist in developing and delivering structured BIM models for projects across various disciplines – main disciplines will be for infrastructure and land development.
Undertake Clash detection and resolve clashes
Candidate Specification:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM for infrastructure projects.
Proven experience with AutoCAD and Bentley software (MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, etc.).
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D modeling.
Strong skills in 3D modeling, visualization, and rendering.
Experience with clash detection tools like Navisworks.
Proficient in data management and cloud collaboration platforms.
Ability to produce detailed technical documentation and drawings.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Organizational and time management skills
Relevant BIM certifications (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, Bentley Institute credentials) are a plus.
Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards for BIM.
Understanding of infrastructure project workflows and best practices.
Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methods.
