We’re looking for an experienced Chartered Civil Engineer to join our Transport and Mobility Solutions Division in Birmingham. About the team

Our transport team conceives, drives and delivers solutions for cities, regions and asset owners around the world. From business case development and procurement advice to infrastructure delivery and maintenance, we cover the full project lifecycle. What you’ll be doing

As a Chartered Civil Engineer, you’ll lead multidisciplinary design projects and inspire teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of your work, contribute to business development and collaborate across our UK and international offices.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the planning, design and implementation of civil engineering projects for a variety of clients including local authorities, public and private developers and contractors
  • Delivering sustainable, innovative solutions with a right first time approach  and ensuring alignment with health and safety policies
  • Overseeing project delivery to meet client requirements, budgets and deadlines
  • Controlling resources and monitoring performance against targets
  • Preparing and managing work programmes
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Leading bid proposals and contributing to business development
  • Mentoring and developing junior engineers

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status
  • Proven experience in successfully  delivering  highway and infrastructure projects for a range of clients
  • Passion for expanding and sharing digital and technical knowledge
  • Strong understanding and application of Technical design standards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, OpenRoads and InfoDrainage
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in fee proposals, client engagement and business development
  • Knowledge of BIM and its application in design coordination
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • A commitment to health and safety and willingness to travel when required
