Job Description:

 

The Grant Management ECP will work alongside the Grant Manager to gain valuable experience in supporting grantees. The ECP will also attend online and face-to-face training sessions to enhance their learning. The principal duties and responsibilities will be as follows:

 

  • Assist in grantees expense validation process
  • Ensure that grantees are meeting deadlines as outlined in their agreements
  • Maintain and update records on grantee communications, and reporting
  • Ensure that all grantees information is accurately captured in the grants management system
  • Assist with the preparation for audits and compliance reviews
  • Help to provide general administrative support to the Grants team, including scheduling meetings, organizing documents, and assisting in event planning related to grantee engagement
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Candidate Specification:

 

  • Must be a Rwandan 
  • Must have graduated in 2024 
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Must have attained a First-Class or Second-Class Honors Bachelor’s Degree
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Kinyarwanda
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Background:

 

Mott MacDonald-Cambridge Education is implementing the Learning and Inclusion for Transformation (LIFT) programme in Rwanda. LIFT is a programme of the Ministry of Education that is funded by the UK Government through FCDO and aims to improve foundational learning outcomes for children in English and mathematics in Rwanda’s primary schools. LIFT also supports adolescents aged 12-17 to return to formal education or access alternative education pathways and enables access to education for children with disabilities.  

 

Mott MacDonald-Cambridge Education is excited to launch its Early Career Professionals programme in Rwanda. This is a call for applications that aims to empower young people who want to gain valuable hands-on experience and enhance their career development. This opportunity offers internships in various thematic areas including Finance, Grants Management, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion and Foundational Learning. Selected Early Career Professionals will be placed at the central Mott Mac Donald-Cambridge Education Office in Kigali working alongside professionals and will be directly contributing towards improving Rwanda’s education system.
