Your Opportunity 

Due to an ever-growing portfolio of projects, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Electrical Engineer to contribute to the success of our growing Energy team in Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity to be actively involved in an innovative and highly motivated team of professionals and be instrumental in delivering landmark projects within NSW and across Australia. With an increasing and diverse portfolio of work, we need someone who has a proven record in this field, and who has a pro-active and enthusiastic approach with a drive to succeed and help develop the team.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and produce relevant electrical designs and associated documentation, including contributing to complex multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Design in accordance with Australian, ASA and all relevant standards.
  • Liaise with relevant Design Delivery Managers/Engineers and other relevant discipline members of the project team on multi-disciplinary projects to ensure they are completed in a financially responsible manner, to time, cost, quality and safety standards, as well as satisfying client and asset management requirements.
  • Participate in investigations as required and prepare draft technical investigation reports and technical specifications.
  • Liaise with relevant discipline members of the project team on project specifications and requirements to establish a shared understanding of design scope, budget, time constraints, success indicators, quality, environmental and safety standards and perform design tasks accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the wider project teams regarding the status of design projects so a collaborative approach can be taken to address issues as they arise.
  • Engage in fair and equitable workplace practices and behaviours to ensure a discrimination free workplace, in accordance with legislative requirements.

 

About You 

 

  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Design experience and strong understanding of electrical engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and industry guidelines.
  • Experience in the technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects
  • Flexibility to work on a broad range of projects supporting earthing and bonding designs
  • Experience preparing design and assessment reports
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
