About the business unit

We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators around the globe. From preparing the business case and​ advising on related issues - such as revenue, procurement, and environmental legislation - to delivering the completed infrastructure and helping maintain it. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We play a major role in developing and delivering the Global Transport Sector Strategy.

 

Job description:

We are looking for experienced Engineers who have the relevant degree/s and professional experience to fit in, and strengthen, our growing Foundations and Geotechnics team. The work will be varied in nature but can encompass, in different percentages and depending on group needs and the candidates’ individual skills: geotechnical design of foundations, earthworks, ground improvement, slope stability, retaining walls, underground structures, engineering geology, geology, as well as participation in technical excellence activities to improve productivity, challenge the status quo, innovate, continue delivering excellence and improve overall efficiency. More senior roles may also engage in project management, design management and/or business development activities.

There are possibilities to work from either the Madrid or the Barcelona offices (subject to mutual agreement).

Candidates may be required to travel within the UK and to selected locations internationally (also subject to mutual agreement).

 

Candidate specification:

Candidates should have:

  • Degree in Engineering Geology / Civil Engineering / Geology, preferably at master’s level.
  • Demonstrable relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. The ability to speak additional languages would be desirable. 
  • Knowledge of programming languages, Plaxis, automatization tools, and AI are a plus.
