Title:                     Engineer II, Civil

Location:             1050 SW 6th Avenue, Suite 1010 , Portland, OR 97204

 

Duties:  Perform civil engineering duties in developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs. Attend site inspections, investigations, and monitoring. Actively participating in project, client, and team meetings. Review, prepare, and modify designs. Analyze reports, specifications, and studies. Gain exposure to project, commercial, and client management. Utilize technology with a ‘digital by default’ approach. Position is fixed location based in Portland, OR office and is required to be in office at least 10 days/month; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.


Requirements:  Requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience as a Civil Engineer or a related occupation involving experience in the civil engineering field

Experience may be gained concurrently and must include one (1) year in each of the following:

  • Perform basic civil engineering calculations or apply standard techniques and procedures for a variety of civil engineering related tasks including transportation, structural, or geotechnical
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise engineering judgement on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of alternatives
  • Design experience using CAD software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, In-Roads, Open Roads, or Revit
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to produce completed design, drafting, basic calculations, and administrative work with technical adequacy based on initial instruction and advice from supervisor or senior engineer.

Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree and one (1)  year of experience.
