Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced engineer for the role of Bridge Management Engineer. This position is crucial for managing bridge and structure component and element deterioration modeling, replacement, rehabilitation, and preservation treatments. The role also includes inventory and inspection, risk assessment, decision utility tree development, and optimization methods.
Position Requirements:
- Plan and conduct work requiring independent judgment and substantial adaptation of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Devise new approaches to problems encountered.
- Perform non-routine and complex assignments involving coordination in planning and conducting complete projects of limited scope or portions of larger projects.
- Coordinate portions of overall assignments, including reviews, analyses, and integration of the work of other staff.
- Ensure competence as a fully trained worker through sufficient professional experience.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of combined experience in bridge management, bridge design, and/or bridge inspection.
- Experience with database and spreadsheet data queries is a plus.
- BS in Civil Engineering required; MS in Civil Engineering is a plus.
- Professional Engineering Licensure (NCEES certification preferred).
