Job profile 

The role is an Information Manager-Technical Specialist in the Implementation team of Digital working alongside and supporting our senior Information Management team.

 

 

Job description 

 

 

We are looking for an information manager to join the Digital implementation team. You should have a track record of delivering projects in your previous role. 

 

 

You will act as a point of contact in all matters around implementation of project information management processes and solutions on behalf of the Central Digital function and will act as support to our Information Management team within Central Digital Implementation. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

 

Main responsibilities/deliverables are:  

 

 

  • You will be working as an Information Management Technical Specialist alongside senior colleagues involved in delivering information management capabilities on projects, advising, supporting the deployment, and supporting/maintaining the necessary processes for information management solutions, and supporting the development of project information management documentation. 

 

  • Support project delivery and compliance with industry standards. 

 

  • Work alongside the other Digital teams to provide information management guidance. 

 

  • Generate reports and monitor data analytics to provide feedback to the project team. 

 

 

 

 

Essential  

 

 

  • Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience 

 

  • Education: Relevant professional qualifications, in Information Management, or related field, or similar work experience. 

 

  • Experience in developing project Information Management standards, methods and procedures, authoring supporting guidance and documentation and communicating this to the project team. 

 

  • Knowledge/skills: Working knowledge of a range of CDE platforms potentially including ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud and/or SharePoint, with experience in setting up/managing them in a live project environment. 

 

  • Knowledge of and experience in the application of industry BIM/Information Management standards (e.g. ISO19650) 

 

  • Experience in the management of information in a multi-disciplinary environment. 

 

  • Working knowledge of data/information exchange protocols 

 

  • Communication: Be able to communicate positively with clarity and understanding and present information in a structured manner.  

 

  • Be able to demonstrate a proactive nature in solving issues. 

 

  • Positive ‘can-do’ collaborative attitude in working with colleagues and clients. 

 

  • Excellent interpersonal & problem-solving skills. 

 

  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills with an eye on continuous improvement. 

 

  • Very good time management. 

 

  • Demonstrate respect for agreed work deadlines. 

 

 

Desirable

 

 

  • Up to date knowledge of current engineering technology trends. 

 

  • Experience interacting with and using technology used to support the automation of IM process. 

 

  • Experience interacting with and using technology used to enable visibility and analysis of project data.

 

  • Education: Professional qualifications would be advantage. 

 

  • Knowledge of IT and network infrastructure principles. 

 

  • Knowledge of risk management principles. 

 

  • Working knowledge of BIM technologies. (e.g. Autodesk Revit / Civil 3D/ Bentley Open Buildings) 

 

  • Experience in developing project BIM documentation, production methods and procedures, authoring supporting guidance and documentation and communicating this to the project team. 

 

  • Knowledge of data formats used to capture and exchange asset information e.g. COBie
