About the business unit
Mott MacDonald’s support services are the driving force behind our organisation enabling us to run efficiently and effectively. The team works collaboratively to offer specialist advice, best practice and technology to all areas of our business specifically designed for our global reach.
The Media Producer will work closely with senior leaders, technical specialists and marketers from across our global regions – and with external agencies – to create compelling rich content which highlights our innovative solutions, project success stories and industry insights.
Translating complex technical expertise, project showcases and thought leadership into engaging visual content for external and internal audiences. Additionally, the Media Producer will manage Vimeo, our external video platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the production of video content.
- Conceptualise, plan and execute video projects from start to finish, ensuring that the final product meets the client’s or company’s needs and expectations.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to determine project goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Work closely with clients and other team members to develop ideas, create scripts, scout locations, cast participants, and manage budgets.
- Oversee the technical aspects of production, such as camera work, lighting, sound, and editing.
- Coordinate all aspects of video production, including shooting, editing, and post-production.
- Manage/coordinate professional portraiture.
- Manage project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
- Ensure all videos meet the highest quality and brand standards
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
- Manage a database of professional portraits for the corporate website.
Experience and knowledge of:
Technical:
- Video production, editing, and post-production, ideally within the engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar editing tools.
- Strong knowledge of camera operation, lighting, audio recording, and drone videography.
- Experience in motion graphics, 2D/3D animation.
- Familiarity with interview formats to capture insights from leaders, engineers, clients, and project managers.
- Understanding of SEO for video and best practices for optimising content for digital distribution (e.g web, LinkedIn, and YouTube).
- Experience of stills photography, particularly environmental and professional portraiture.
Creative/storytelling:
- Ability to translate complex concepts into engaging, easy-to-understand video content.
- Strong storytelling and scriptwriting skills, particularly for project showcases, technical case studies, and thought leadership content.
- Experience creating short-form and long-form content tailored to different audiences, including for clients, recruitment, and the wider industry.
- Ability to maintain brand consistency while creating visually compelling content.
- Experience overseeing podcast production.
Project management and collaboration:
- Experience managing multiple video projects simultaneously, from concept development to final delivery.
- Experience of managing external agencies, strong internal and external stakeholder management.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal staff, clients and partners.
- Collaborate effectively with leaders, engineers, project managers, business development teams, and external agencies.
- Strong organisational skills to handle filming logistics, safety compliance, and permissions for site visits.
- Comfortable conducting interviews with senior leadership and technical experts, ensuring clear, engaging, and professional on-camera delivery.
