Principal Rail Engineer – Signalling (ETCS / CBTC)

As a Principal Rail Engineer specialising in ETCS / CBTC, you will lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge signalling systems for various projects across the region. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct feasibility assessments and reference designs for signalling systems.
  • Design, check, and independently review high-level signalling and rail systems designs.
  • Provide leadership and technical advice to the project team, and mentor junior staff.
  • Lead key design stages during testing and commissioning works.
  • Build strong client relationships to win new work and develop tactical strategies aligned with sector and unit objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 Years ETCS / CBTC / Signalling Experience
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Competency (or able to obtain) as per Queensland Rail Specification MD-15-105 Signalling and Operational Systems Competence Management, highly valued  
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), or eligible for registration
  • Experience with the Queensland rail network preferred
