Mott MacDonald is seeking a Lead SCADA engineer to join the team in Westwood, MA office. This is a variable position with a lot of hands-on engineering. Your duties will include:
Generating communication block diagram and SCADA design drawings
Generating and maintaining throughout the project a project points list.
Running weekly project SCADA meetings.
Program HMI/RTUs, network switches, substation computers and firewalls.
Perform project SCADA oversight role with focus on direct client interaction and SCADA checkout.
Participate in and/or lead the effort for estimating/ scheduling SCADA work on relevant engineering bids/proposals.
Mentor junior staff with respect to SCADA office and site activities
Lead the unit SCADA team including weekly meetings, work distribution, resource for junior engineers.
Perform more complicated automation logic activities and NERC/CIP security/firewall activities (preferred).
We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required. Master’s degree in electrical engineering is a plus.
7+ years of experience as an electrical engineer working in protection and control and/or SCADA
Must have at least 5 years of prior work experience, project background experience, in each of the following:
Substation SCADA Engineering and commissioning
Renewable project SCADA engineering and commissioning experience including testing and coordination with Owner’s, utilities and offtakers.
HMI development
RTAC program development
Points list generation and ownership responsibilities
Relay and/or RTAC Automation programming
The following software packages: SEL acSELerator RTAC, acSELerator Architect, acSELerator Diagram Builder, Ignition (not required, but preferred)
Good written and oral communication skills
PE-Professional Engineer registration is not required, but preferred

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
The expected salary for this position is $107,000 - $130,000.
