The Role:

Our Water Infrastructure team continues to grow, and we’re looking for a Digital Designer to work on a number of sizeable projects we are delivering across New Zealand including significant pipeline networks,  water and wastewater treatment plants. This role will be responsible for delivering high quality models for industrial plants and pipeline projects on time and within budget. Working closely with the wider discipline and global teams form a key element of this role. With several years of experience under your belt, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality designs for our diverse range of projects.

What you will do:

As a Digital Designer, your main responsibility is to use Civil 3D software to create accurate technical drawings, plans, longitudinal sections and layouts. Collaboration with project teams is crucial, as you’ll need to understand their design requirements and incorporate any changes throughout the product lifecycle. Adhering to industry standards and quality control procedures is essential to ensure error-free drawings. You’ll also manage project deliverables, timelines, and budgets, collaborating with engineering design teams for optimal efficiency. Regular reviews and inspections will help maintain quality standards and staying updated with the latest technologies is vital for success in this role.

About You:

You will have  a proven experience and proficiency in Civil 3D (12D would be a bonus). Your expertise in these tools allows you to create accurate models, while strong technical drawing skills and attention to detail are essential for precise visual representations of design concepts. Knowledge of industry codes and standards ensures compliance, and familiarity with various design disciplines is advantageous.

Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are crucial for resolving design-related issues. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for collaboration with architects, engineers, and stakeholders. Strong project management skills are essential for handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

While a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
