We are seeking a highly experienced Senior International Tax Manager to join our global tax team. This role will be instrumental in managing international tax matters across the Middle East and South Asia, ensuring compliance, optimizing tax positions, and supporting business growth through proactive tax planning and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Advisory & Contract Review:
• Provide expert tax input on contracts and agreements to ensure tax-efficient structuring
and compliance.
• Collaborate with legal and commercial teams to review terms and conditions from a tax
perspective.
International Tax Compliance & Reporting:
• Oversee compliance with local tax regulations, including withholding tax, indirect tax,
and transfer pricing across multiple jurisdictions.
• Review and support the preparation of transfer pricing documentation, tax returns, and
related filings.
• Support the centre of excellence team, when required to ensure accurate and timely
reporting of tax figures in both local statutory accounts and group consolidated reports.
Tax Controversy & Risk Management:
• Lead responses to tax audits, notices, refund claims, and appeals by working closely with
local consultants, and local finance teams
• Provide technical insights and manage interactions with tax authorities to resolve
disputes effectively.
Tax Strategy & Planning:
• Develop and implement tax-efficient structures and strategies in collaboration with Group
Tax and Regional Finance.
• Support global tax initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory:
• Act as a trusted advisor to business units, keeping them informed of tax developments
and implications.
• Deliver clear, actionable advice on cross-border transactions and legislative changes.
Training & Knowledge Sharing:
• Conduct regular tax awareness sessions and training for finance and business teams.
• Promote a culture of tax compliance and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Tax Technology & Automation:
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive tax process improvements and automation
initiatives.
• Support the implementation of digital tools to enhance tax reporting and compliance
efficiency.
Candidate specification:
• Professional qualification (e.g., Chartered Accountant) with a strong academic background.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in international tax, preferably in a multinational
environment or Big 4 firm.
• Practice experience in handling international tax assignments in advanced tax jurisdictions
• Strong understanding of transfer pricing, indirect taxes, and cross-border tax planning.
• Proven experience in managing tax audits and dealing with tax authorities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
• Experience with tax technology and automation tools is a plus.
• Willingness to undertake business travel (International and domestic)
