As a result of our ongoing growth and project successes, Mott MacDonald has an opportunity for a Senior Specialist, Quality and Compliance to join our team. This role is an important part of our project delivery team and will provide senior-level quality coordination and compliance support on major projects in Canada, and possibly the United States.  

  

In this role, the successful Senior Specialist, Quality and Compliance will: 

  

  • Work alongside our Quality Management team to support project Quality Management excellence across Canada in accordance with ISO 9001. 
  • Provide senior quality coordination support and promote the application of quality management best practices on major infrastructure projects/programs.
  • Support project Quality Assurance (QA) oversight surveillances, compliance reviews, and audits within Canada and the North American region, including pre-audit preparation, scheduling, documentation, report preparation, and post-audit follow-ups.
  • Support the establishment, management, maintenance, and implementation of project Quality Policy and Quality Management Systems (QMS), including the Quality Management Plans (QMP), quality procedures, and Project Quality Compliance Reports.
  • Coordinate with Project/Program partners, Team Leads, Quality Management, and Document Control Teams to support quality and compliance activities across major project environments.
  • Support the development and delivery of quality program training and awareness materials for the project team.
  • Assist with QA certifications for work product documents, including reviews of contract package documents using established SharePoint Deliverables Review processes.
  • Track project nonconformance findings, support corrective action request (CAR) documentation when warranted, and monitor the effectiveness of Corrective Actions/Preventive Actions (CAPA) and related compliance measures.
  • Identify and escalate critical project quality-related issues and work with the quality management team to support preventive measures.
  • Coordinate the development, review, and maintenance of Project Quality Records. 

   

The ideal candidate will have the following required experience: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain P. Eng within 6 months required.
  • ISO 9001 training or auditor certification is preferred
  • 10+ of experience in senior quality coordination, quality compliance, quality management, project controls, document control, or a related function within a multi-disciplinary engineering design organization, with demonstrated experience supporting major projects and exposure to ISO 9001 certification
  • Proven experience coordinating, documenting, monitoring, and improving quality management and compliance work processes in complex or major project environments
  • Knowledge of professional licensing and practice requirements across Canadian jurisdictions, as well as applicable regulatory requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working with SharePoint, Excel, ProjectWise, BIM360 or similar

Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.

 

 

The expected salary range for this position is from $118,000 - $144,000.
