Overview of the role
We are looking for a marketing professional with demonstrable skills and experience in managing company social media channels to join our expanding Campaign and Engagement team and manage the region’s use of our corporate social media channels.

You will bring your passion for social media, love of compelling content and creative, and focus on data insights to manage the region’s effective performance on our social media channels.

 

You will be responsible for all aspects of social media activity in the region, from the production of individual posts, through to helping to set the region’s social media strategy.You will engage widely across the region’s marketing function, with deep collaboration with all members of the region’s Campaign & Engagement team, and relevant members of the Group Marketing team who have overall global responsibility for our channels. You must therefore be an excellent collaborator and team player, who can stretch from confidently taking briefs through to successful execution, as well as bringing more strategic thinking to help shape our social media performance.

 

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Creation of content and assets for corporate social media channels and our advocacy platform
  • Creation of content and assets for selected market-facing senior stakeholders on their individual social media profiles
  • Ensure a strong and well-balanced rhythm of high-quality ‘business-as-usual’ posts, as well as supporting key campaigns and broader high-profile marketing activities through social media
  • Regional champion and administrator for our advocacy platform, as well as supporting others in the Campaign and Engagement team with the use of LinkedIn Sales Navigator and paid social media outreach
  • Offering training and support to individuals/teams in the business with their use and adoption of social media and advocacy
  • Gather, use and share engagement and performance data for social media channels, with data-driven decision making to help improve out impact through social media
  • Ensure that workflow and assets are documented on Mott MacDonald's marketing system
  • Effective adoption and use of related digital tools, such as insight tools and social listening tools
  • Ensuring the corporate brand, visual identity, tone of voice and technical excellence standards are properly represented in all content

 

Candidate specification
Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience in a busy marketing department, with a depth of experience working on company social media channels
  • Demonstrate a good grasp of how to create compelling and engaging content for different channels and audiences
  • Excellent copy writing skills, strong attention to detail, fully able to produce accurate, on-brand and proof-checked content and assets
  • Deliver ‘business as usual’ activities efficiently and to deadlines
  • Passion for compelling content and creative, and proficiency in using social media tools
  • Proactively manage deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Confident in taking briefs, ensuring clarity/understanding of the task, with successful execution
  • Good communicator and collaborator, able to form good relationships across the function and with key stakeholders, and work to clearly articulated briefs and requests
  • Experienced in social media analytics and producing reports that clearly explain recommendations for optimisation and improvement

 

Desirable:

  • Love data and insights and have the ability to interpret and use data to shape and optimise activities
  • Marketing, communication or marketing related degree, or other qualification from a relevant body
  • Experience of working in a medium to large sized marketing function or agency
  • Experience using Optimizely platforms desirable, with experience on social media scheduling platform and creative tools such as Canva, InDesign and Shorthand advantageous
  • Highly organised and able to work with multiple stakeholders and colleagues on a variety of tasks simultaneously and keep stakeholders informed about progress
  • Flexible to work to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
