Your Opportunity 

Our Defence and Security Division team within our Australian business are looking for Project Managers to manage our major multidisciplinary design projects supporting new build infrastructure in Adelaide.  As well as leading these new and existing projects, this position will play an active role in improving our project management processes and approach, driving both delivery excellence and efficiency in our business.
 
The primary responsibility of this position is to successfully lead the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects in Maritime, Civil infrastructure and a multitude of specialist services across heavily regulated sites. The role will be based out of our Adelaide office with the potential to be sited in our client offices with the Central Business District (CBD).

 

  • Deliver complex project scopes on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards in a heavily regulated Defence / Nuclear environment.
  • Lead client engagement and stakeholder communication at senior levels
  • Foster collaboration across internal project teams and delivery partners
  • Proactively manage issues, drive decision making, and lead resolution pathways
  • Evaluate and mitigate risks for our Defence clients
  • Lead and support technical and quality assurance activities relating to the design and safety analysis of nuclear infrastructure
  • Play a leading role in developing the growth of nuclear sovereign skills in Australia, working closely with other members of our Global nuclear practice (inclusive of upskilling).
  • Provide mentorship to staff seeking to develop their knowledge and experience in delivery of major infrastructure projects.

 

About You 

 

  • 15+ years of experience leading Defence and Nuclear project delivery in the fields of building services, civil or maritime.
  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to project management or engineering disciplines
  • Experience in civil or naval nuclear programs, radiopharmaceuticals, oil and gas or Rail (applicants from other high-hazard industries will be considered)
  • Chartered Engineer or Project Manager (preferred but not essential) 
  • Ability to demonstrate successful delivery of major infrastructure programmes throughout the whole project lifecycle (Master planning through design and construction to handover)  
  • Current AU security clearance (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Have an understanding of nuclear safety cases and/or a heavily regulated industry (e.g Oil and Gas, Rail or Pharmaceuticals).
